Organic Perspectives Landscape Design

“To gain a deeper connection to the natural world and understand how we can exist within it.” –Ian Adams
An outdoor space that inflates our senses as a counter-balance for our largely interior existence is essential to our wellbeing.
Ian has over 20 years of practical experience in the construction and design of beautiful landscapes and residential buildings.
Based on the Mornington Peninsula, Ian has a burning desire to enhance the connection between the resident and their environment through refined, yet natural, outdoor spaces. With the knowledge gained through an Advanced Diploma in Building Design and Architecture, Ian can anticipate regulatory requirements and any legal responsibilities that may arise.

About Ian Adams
Ian was raised among the rows of his grandfather’s nursery at Nhill. The constant hum of activity, the captivating beauty of the flowers and the excitement of life springing up around him form his first memories. Growing up on farms close to natural vegetation sparked a lifetime of inspiration and respect.
``I have spent my entire life immersed in Australia’s landscape,’’ says Ian.
``I’ve travelled all across Australia photographing ‘it’s beauty and it’s terror’ and I’ve felt closer to my own nature each time.
``I’ve lived in deserts, on mountains and beside beaches. All these experiences feature in my designs.
Transplanting the elements you’d find on a bushwalk or  beach scramble--the way grasses hug close to boulders, the relationship blooms and shrubs have to water, wind and sunshine – into our private gardens, we begin to honour the environment instead of battling against it.
Outdoor spaces that inspire us are our reward.
